To provide a responsive and innovative education in statistics, relevant researches, and sound practice of the statistics profession.
Goals and Objectives
The INSTAT is mandated to accelerate and intensify instruction, research and extension efforts in statistics supportive of science and technology and national development goals. Its specific objectives are:
- to produce highly trained graduates for the statistical community and other related private and government institutions for carrying out quality and respectable data collection, processing, analysis, and utilization;
- to undertake high level research and development activities in statistics;
- to upgrade the expertise of users of statistics in the private and public sectors through the conduct of training, workshop, and field work; and
- to encourage and promote effective and efficient transfer and utilization of statistical research and development results.
