UPLB STATS recognized as Best Youth Advocate for Statistics

WITH GREAT PRIDE AND HONOR.

The UPLB Statistical Society (UPLB STATS) was awarded as the Best Youth Group Advocate for Statistics for the 27th National Statistics Month (NSM) for its outstanding efforts and dedication to the successful conduct of various statistical advocacy activities for the youth in 2016. Different advocacies are promoted through the following activities:

SFCON2017 Advisory

The 18th National Student-Faculty Conference on the Statistical Sciences will still push through tomorrow (16 October 2017) despite the cancellation of classes and government work nationwide.

Registration starts at 8:00 AM. The Opening Ceremony will begin at 8:30 AM at Umali Auditorium, SEARCA, Los Baños, Laguna. Please be guided and we hope to see you tomorrow!

CALL FOR PAPERS: 18th Student-Faculty Conference on Statistical Sciences

The UPLB Institute of Statistics, in collaboration with the UP School of Statistics and the Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute, invites you to the 18th Student-Faculty Conference on Statistical Sciences to be held at Umali Auditorium, SEARCA, Los Baños, Laguna on 16 October 2017.

This year’s conference theme “Statistics for Propelling AmBisyon Natin 2040” will particularly highlight how statistics can be employed to propel AmBisyon Natin 2040 and how statisticians of different walks of life can support it.

This is open to all students and faculty members nationwide who want to share their researches involving statistical methods.

The Institute of Statistics held its testimonial program for the Class 2017 graduates on 23 June 2017 at the INSTAT Lecture Hall. Leading this year’s graduates is magna cum laude, Daniel Joseph Pisano who received the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence for having the second highest GWA of 1.2651 among the graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences and the DOST Medal of Merit for Academic Excellence for his outstanding performance as a DOST RA 7587 scholar.
