Organizational Structure

The Institute of Statistics is supervised by its Director and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Institute is divided into three divisions – Statistical Computing, Statistical Modelling, and Survey Sampling. In addition, the institute has five staff members for administrative support service.

INSTAT has 30 faculty members of which 6 have doctoral degree, 11 have masters degree, and 13 have bachelors degree. The Institute also has affiliate and adjunct professors serving as members of the advisory committee of graduate students. As the Institute promotes strong statistical background among its roster, faculty members are encouraged to continue their graduate study in any statistics-related field with their choice of specialization. At present, 9 faculty members are pursuing Master of Science degree in Statistics. Aside from instruction, faculty members are also involved in several research, extension, and public service activities within and outside the university.
